Reconnecting with your Family & Loved ones:


          Our families and friends play a key role in our mental health and well-being. It is most
          likely that we have either taken them for granted or lost connection with them. This
          step is about communicating with the most important people in your life in a meaningful
          and rewarding way.

          Here are few tips on how we can rekindle a relationship with our loved one:

          1. Changing your attitude - Forgive quickly and apologize first.

          2. Show gratitude - Handwritten notes to say thank you. The written word is indeed
          powerful!

          3. Make time - Schedule birthdays in your calendar and if you can’t be there in-person,
          organize to have a celebration for them.

          4. Communicate - Have meaningful and complete conversations, without interruptions.

          5. Prioritize - Be quick with your compliments and slow with your criticism.

          6. Appreciate - Notice the little things and talk about it.

          7. Collaborate - Read a story to your children or work on a project together. Be patient
          and do activities together.

          8. Surprise - Send some flowers or a gift for no reason at all.

          9. Unite - Have a weekly family dinner, eat together, talk together and laugh together.

          10. Learn - Do a course with your folks, like yoga sessions or meditation. As you learn
          together, you grow together.

          Enjoy the good times that life has to o er you. These are the moments that continue to
          reconnect and strengthen our relationships.
